Uga Bay Hotel in Pasikuda, Sri Lanka, is the latest Five star Hotel in the vibrant tourist area in the east coast.

The 46 room Hotel located on the Pasikuda Tourist Zone which is about 228 km away from capital Colombo and has been built to provide facilities to the local and foreign tourists visiting the East Coast which is famous for its white sandy beaches, whale watching and for surfing.

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa declared open Uga Resort on 20th October 2012. Sri Lanka Uga Escapes, a Finco Group company has opened a beachfront luxury boutique resort at a cost of 850 million rupees includes a bay suite and a beach chalet on a nine-acre block of land.

Sri Lanka Listed as New merging travel Destinations


Sri Lanka “the wonder of Asia” has been listed among the five new emerging travel destinations by the World Travel Market's industry report 2012.
Three key factors that favoured Sri Lanka are the re-emergence of the country after the civil war, infrastructure investments and beautiful locations.
At the end of the annual World Travel Mart (WTM), usually held in November each year in London, and considered as one of the most important events in the world tourism calendar, an industry report is published which highlights world travel trends and insights, with emphasis on the UK market .
This report is an important and prestigious publication which is referred to by many professionals in the industry world over in making their strategic plans for the forthcoming year.
Sri Lanka's tourism sector has been booming since the end of a three-decade war with the Tamil Tigers in 2009.
The government has targeted one million tourist arrivals for 2012 and revenue of $1 billion from foreign direct investment.
By 2016, it hopes to reach 2.5 million arrivals despite industry experts warning of massive infrastructure upgrades to meet this target.
The World Travel Market (WTM) is a British event aimed at the global travel industry. Thousands of travel industry professionals, government ministers and representatives of the international media, converge on ExCeL London each year in November to attend WTM.

The Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort, Sri Lanka is the first four star resort hotel in Sabaragamuwa Province.


The 55-room Udawalawe Safari Hotel located on the Udawalawe -Thanamalwila road and away from 116 km from Colombo has been built to provide facilities to the local and foreign tourists visiting the Udawalawe National Park and close to the famous Ath Athuru Sevana (Elephant Orphernage). 
Also It is very conveniently located with easy access to places such as the Sooriyawewa Mahinda Rajapaksa Cricket Stadium, the Ruhunu Magampura Mahinda Rajapaksa Port and the Mattala Mahinda Rajapaksa International Airport.
One of the most significant feature of the Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort is its’ picturesque swimming pool. The other significant feature of the Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort is its’ open air theater named ‘Wala”.
The hotel was ceremonially declared open by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on October 27, 2012. The resort is owned by Rosen Lanka Pvt Ltd

This is the first such luxury hotel in Uda Walawe, located close to the Uda Walawe National Park.
All rooms would have Internet and IDD facilities, satellite TV facilities with international/ local channels. In addition there would be a large banquet hall with seating capacity of 450, conference hall with 200 seating capacity, specially designed swimming pool and a restaurant which can accommodate 250.
The Management of Resort invested approximately Rs.750 million for the hotel and looking to invest a further Rs. 300 million to build the region's first Avurvedha hotel in Udawalawe.
The hotel is equipped with a Banquet Hall seating 400 pax and a Restaurant seating 250 pax,  a fully equipped Conference Hall and a state-of-the-art Business Centre, a complete Gymnasium, a Mini-Theatre, the Main Kitchen catering to the Restaurant, and a satellite kitchen catering to the Pool Bar and a Banquet Kitchen in the upper floor catering to the Banquet Hall, located so as not to disturb the idyllic existence of the guests, who venture into the jungle to escape the humdrum day-to-day life in the City braving the rat race.The hotel has 24 hour room service and extensive laundry facilities.
